Have you ever Googled something and wondered why is it called that? Or what is its origin? Or where did it come from? Created by Larry
Page and Sergey Brin on September 4, 1998, it was private until 2004.
The goal was to ”organize the world's information and make it
universally accessible and useful”. Google came from the number googol
which is one and one hundred zeros(10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!) and actually misspelled googol as google too. Google has many product like Youtube, Blogger, Google Play, Orkut, Earth, Books, Picasa, Offers,Sites, Gmail, Drive/Docs,Google+, Maps, Search, Photos and much more. Apps like Google+ and Orkut are social network similar to Facebook. Search, Photos, and even Youtube are apps used for a search. Google Play is equipped for buying music, movies, books, and Android (the Google operating system) apps. Google has also created a Google app friendly browser called Google Chrome. Google has also a phone series called Nexus. Google is currently creating Google Glass.

I never knew that google came from a number! I also didn't know that google had more than 15 apps! Googol is a number that is very interesting. It would be a rich life if someone had that much money.
Nice blog. It was nice to learn more about google. My friend's dad. The google pen looks so cool. When it's body is turned the holes in the pen have color. When the pen is put back in it's hole the holes are colorless. Good job.

Nice post i use google a lot love the search engine. Anyways I heard about the google glasses that are coming out. I sure would want to try them must cost a lot. Before I read this I did not know the origin of google so I learned a lot.

Nice blog! Now I have an idea of how our Google docs were created. My favorite Google thing is probably YouTube although Google has created many more things.

I think it is really weird that someone who is past high school would misspell "googol" as "google." Is it called that because it has about a googol facts for you to look at? I'd never even heard of some of their apps until I read your blog. If blogger is part of Google, does that mean I'm doing my homework on Google right now?

Wow! I heard that the Google Glasses were coming out, but I didn't know that they created so many things. I didn't know that they misspelled googol. I've used some of these things such as, picasa, docs/drive, maps, and youtube. I have learned a lot from this blog!

Interesting blog! I use Google Images a ton. I learned a countless of information from your blog, like how it got their name. One thing I was interested in was that Google had many products. I thought Youtube was its own website!

Cool blog! I never knew so much about google. I guess I just took it for granted. My dad told me about some car that google invented where you just say where you want to go and the car will take you there.Awesome blog!
Nice post Edison!!!! I have seen the ad for google glasses. They're awesome and cool looking but really expensive. It's funny how google's name was made by accident. I use the app youtube the most for watching minecraft videos. Great Job Edison.

Great blog! I heard that the google glasses will have this excercise app called zombie runner. you see zombies in the google glasses and run arond avoiding them and get all the stuff like water and ood. You need to get all of the matierials o win.

Your blog is boss!! I always use Google for research and to find out info for fun. This is how the number Googlee was created:One day someone invented a number with 100 zeros. But he didn't know what to call it, so he showed it to his baby son. When the baby saw the number, he said Google. Then the inventor decided to call the number Google. He got billions of dollars for making the number and its hilarious name, all thanks to his baby son.

Edison, Wow! What an interesting and informative blog post! I've always wondered if there were any chat rooms in Google. Your blog answered that question for me. I can't wait for the Google Glass to come out.
