Brother vs. Brother
By Anisha Saboo
A battle between brothers! The Harbaugh brothers, Jim and John Harbaugh coached their teams against each other in Super Bowl XLVII ( 47 in roman numerals) on February 3, 2013. John is fifteen months older than Jim. They both grew up together with their parents, Jack and Jackie, and their younger sister, Joanie. Today Jim is 49 years old, and John is 50. Though the brothers were battling for the Super Bowl title, they still love each other very much. Jim Harbaugh coaches the San Francisco 49ers, and John Harbaugh coaches the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens havewon two titles, and the 49ers have won 5 titles until now.
The XLVII Super Bowl game was very interesting. In the first few quarters of the game, the Ravens were winning by a big margin. At the end of the first quarter, the Ravens were leading 7-3. By the end of the second quarter, the Ravens had increased their lead. The score was 21-6. After half-time, when the 3rd quarter started, the Ravens scored another touchdown!! Now the 49er fans had almost given up hope of their favorite team winning the championship.
However, in the middle of the 3rd quarter, a very strange thing happened. The power went off in the Superdome and the game had to be halted! When the
game resumed, the 49ers had a sudden boost of energy! Now the 49ers were finally scoring touchdowns and their fans were screaming with joy. During the last few minutes of the game, the 49ers were extremely tired
but they continued to work hard and still hoped to win. Unfortunately, the Ravens blocked them from scoring at every chance they could get. The Ravens won their second Super Bowl title and though the 49ers are
bummed, they tried very hard and I think they should be proud of themselves.

What is your most favorite sport? Oh I forgot to tell you that you had a really nice title(Brother v.s Brother)!!!!
-Anisha,
I have watched the Super Bowl and it was an intense game. Some of this information was new to me but it was interesting. It's wierd how everyone in their familys' name begins with a J.The 49ers just needed a touchdown so they could be in the lead.I agree with you that the 49ers should be proud because they tried their best.Did you know that the San Francisco 49ers got this name because of gold rush.Gold was found in CA in 1849.Nice Blog:P!
It's weird that the 49ers had a sudden boost of energy, like magic. I bet the Ravens are powerful to beat the 49ers. I still wish the 49ers had won.
I saw the Super Bowl XLVII with my friends who follow football. I saw pretty much the first half at home. The blackout happened while I was driving to my friends house. When I reached their house we had to wait 10 more min. before the refs. started the game. I was so disappointed when the 49ers lost. When they reached the Super Bowl game, they never lost until now.
Nice blog!
I'm not interested in football. In the furture, I am totally not going to play football. I hate tackling. Cool blog!
Dear Anisha,
I belive the 49ers did try their best. Nice post!
Nice Post Anisha. The 49ers played the best they could but they should have won. At the end of the game there was supposed to be a holding penalty. For some reason the referees did not call it. For some reason I think the power outage helped the 49ers. In the third quarter they let the Touchdown pass go. For some reason the refs were favoring the Ravens I think. I liked the 49ers comeback but wish they won another title. I watched the 49ers game at my friend's houses. I still don't understand what caused the power outage. It was such a long period of time. Nice Job Anisha!

Great job Anisha! The game awesome. Halftime with Beyonce spot on. Hope that the 49s will play in the superbowl next year
Hey Anisha,
I have heard about the "Brother vs Brother" thing before, but your blog told the same story in an interesting way. I agree that the 49er's should be proud of themselves. I haven't watched the Superbowl myself, but I heard that the "lights out" part was fun. Great job on your blog!
Dear Anisha,
Your blog was remarkable, I wached the super bowl and I was very disenchanted but it was a close game.
Nice post!!! Maybe one day I will vs Maya in coaching.

A lot of people watch the Super Bowl but I didn't really watch it I watched a little bit. I'm not a huge fan of football. But I sometimes watch, anyways the 49ers tried there hardest and they did better than last season.
Anisha,
It is pretty strange that two brothers were fighting for something as big as a Super Bowl title. It's a good thing that they don't actually play football, or else they might not try very hard after seeing each other. The power going out in the Superdome is a really giant miracle for the 49ers! If it weren't for that, then the 49ers would have lost by a lot, and that would have been bad multiplied by maybe 100.
Dear Anisha,
I like your blog but the ravens cheated and the 49 would have won . Also Ms.Regosins friend fliped all the 49ers signs.

Anisha,
Terrific blog! I watched the superbowl too. It was all very exciting. I had a lot of fun. Your blog was really awesome and interesting. Maybe we'll have more luck next time.
Nice blog, Anisha. Did you know Jim, Jackie, John, Jack and Joanie all start with a J? Pretty cool, isn't it? Strange how the lights all turned off suddenly, huh? Good thing it did though, right? Otherwise we probably would never have caught up.
Thanks,
Mihir+S= AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Creative blog and title! I never knew that those two coaches were brothers. They both do look alike in many ways. Did you watch the Super Bowl?
I watched a little bit of the game. At the first quarter I was sure the 49ers were going to lose. I gained some hope during the third quarter. Overall is was a great game between the Ravens and the 49ers.
Dear Anisha,
I have never heard of the Brothers before. I think they are very interesting and cool. I also hope I can see them on T.V too!!
Nice Post Anisha!!
Anisha-
I really liked the Super Bowl. I was so upset that the 49ers lost by three points. I think the Baltimore Ravens deserved to win because it was Ray Lewis's (a player on the Ravens) and it was his last year.
Anisha,
You are right, The 49ers did try to win. They were tired but still didn't give up hope. That is an excellent example to kids like me. If a game isn't over but their team is losing, then they shouldn't give up. Your blog was great!!! You did an excellent job making the blog. Keep up the great writing!
Hi Anisha,
I liked your blog! I am not a big fan of the Super Bowl, but I thought your blog went into much detail! I could not believe that John and Jim are about 50! When we went to the Superbowl party, we were late by half an hour! (Maybe that's the reason they lost 😋)
Nice blog. Everyone was bummed that the San Francisco 49ers lost to Baltimore Ravens. The title brother v.s brother was cool.
I think the Super Bowl XXXXVII was cool. I think the 49ers should have had more stamina so they could win. Their bad beginning let the Ravens gain the upper hand. Nice blog, Anisha!
Dear Anisha,
When the Super Bowl was playing, I was out eating dinner. Whenever the show was on, all the waiters and waitresses surrounded the TV in the Sports Bar. Every once and a while, we would hear them shout. :P
Sincerely,
Yvonne
