Tomatoes
By Joshua W.
In my backyard there are two cherry tomato plants. We water them every other day. Before it is ripe, the tomatoes are green, then yellow, after that, red. The red fruit is very sweet. They grow very fast and if not picked, the tomatoes will explode. If they explode we cannot eat them because some bacteria or bugs might have gone inside. We also wash them before we eat them. The tomatoes need a pole to support them or else the plant will collapse and die. Our plant is getting quite tall, almost as tall as the wooden fence. Do you grow any fruits or vegetables? If not, what is your favorite?

Dear Joshua,
I love tomatoes, specially home made tomatoes, those are the best! I have a lot of favorite fruits and vegetables such as, Mango's, Apple's, Banana's, and Grapes. I also have some experience with gardening because I had Ms.L. for my teacher and you know she loves gardening, she took us to the garden to plant plants everyday after lunch! And she even took us to the creek and we planted some vegetables, in the garden we also planted some very yummy tomatoes from the garden. Every time we had fun except for times when it was too hot and for times when she told you to go inside and do exploration instead of gardening because you were too loud outside and you kept screaming and screaming. All-in-all your blog was very fun to comment, I will always have a fun time eating tomatoes, especially made from you! :)

Joshua-
Tomatoes taste really good. Did you know that a lot of tomatoes look lumpy? In our yard we grow oranges, lemons, peaches, and plums. Your blog about tomatoes was just about as juicy as a tomato itself!
Dear Joshua,
Wow!It looks like your tomatoes in your garden must have been great!I don't grow any fruits or vegetables but I do grow flowers. My favorite fruit is Mango, it is so sweet. My favorite vegetable is beans.I hope your garden is going to look wonderful with all those tomatoes.

Hi Joshua,
We have some tomatoes and cucumbers in our backyard but since we moved the Earth boxes are still at the other house. Right now all we grow is a huge lemon and lime tree.We have some grape fruits too but they are not doing that great. My favorite veggie is a cherry tomato.
I have a lot of fruits and vegetables in our garden there are lemons, peaches, this fruit I don't know the name of, cucumbers, bell peppers, strawberries (even though they have died), this other vegetable with spikes on it and tomatoes Yay! GO GREEN!
P.S. my favorite are the peaches except there small and yellow but sweet
Although I do not grow any fruits or veggies,my favorite fruit is the orange because I like their color. Also, its inside is amazing. It is one of the only fruits that has pulp.It seems like it is woven together.I also like its taste. When I chew it in my mouth,it feels like it has turned into juice, which tastes so good.It also tastes like there is sugar in there, which I also like very much. This is why oranges are my favorite fruit.
Hey Joshua, in my garden we grow some fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchuni, beans, mint, eggplant, pomogranate, oranges, apple, lemon, plum, grapes, kiwi, and finally comcwot(not to brag or anything). All the fruits except pomogranate was already there when we moved into the house. My mom was the one who planted all the vegetables so we would have a home garden and we would'nt have to get some of the vegetables from the store. (Some of the fruit spellings might be wrong). Nice different post Joushua!!!

Your blog was great! In my garden we grow lemon cucumbers, fava beans, a fig tree, herbs, Chinese okras, and tomatoes just like you. You are right that if you leave the tomatoes on the plant too long, they would explode or get bitten by an animal. Also for the Chinese okra, we save an old one to collect its fresh seeds for next year's planting. My mom said that you can use it as a sponge. Our family also help the Chinese okra to pollinate since there are not many blooms.
Dear Joshua W.,
I have a tomato plant just like you do. I did not know that you have to put a stand on the tomato plant. I also didn't know that cherry tomato plants grow quickly. I can not believe that your plant is as tall as your fence!
Yes I do have some vegetables in my garden. I have a plum tree which is very old. It so old that when we got the house (two years ago) we already saw that young tree there planted and growing! We also have some chili plants. They are real good! Like you I have several tall tomato plants. We also have some pest that live in our backyard. First is the squirrel. It takes our plums, strawberries, sunflowers, and tomatoes. Next are flies and ants who eat our strawberries and tomatoes. Last is the mouse. Their is a mouse that hides and eats our tomatoes. Do not worry we have protecters like lizards, birds and humans. The only two that do not get harmed are the rose bush and the chili plant. Great Post.
Dear Joshua,
I also grow vegetables in my backyard. I grow cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, lemon, aloe, and lots more. I use to grow radishes, baby tiger watermelons, and corn. We pulled the corn out because there were too many ants. The baby tiger watermelons was not a huge success because only a tiny one grew in the winter. Sincerely,
Yvonne
I grow many fruits and vegetbles such as tomatoes, apples, plums, cherry tomatoes, pomegranete, two apricot trees, two peach trees, persamen, and some more. All of them are pretty tall and give very sweet fruits and tasty vegetables with a lot of fruits and vegetables.
GREAT POST, JOSHUA!!!!!!
Yes, I do grow a fruit. I grow a lemon and a apple tree. The apple is delicious. I wonder why my parents don't pick apples from the apple tree. I guess they are not ready yet.
I have a tomato in my backyard!
Hey Joshua, I also have several fruit trees in my backyard. They are apple tree, orange tree and a lemon tree. Your tomato plant sounds very tall. And I would like to grow a tomato plant at my own home. Also I enjoy reading your blog because it was very interesting!
Hey, Joshua! your thing about tomatoes is just like mine! My tomatoes are growing thick and clumped like a jungle, not tall like a redwood. Oh boy do my tomatoes taste good! Mine are like sugar. How about yours?
Sincerely,
I don't know who.
I used to grow tomatoes, strawberries, melon, plum, and green onion at my old house. Now that I moved I don't have any plants growing in my backyard
Hi Joshua!
I totally love tomatoes (super good for your health and I only like them in some foods like pasta)! I love fruits so much too! Fruit takes up like 60% of my everyday eating/food I eat! Peaches are nice! My brother and I always fight for them. I also like watermelon. You know, it's the best fruit to keep you hydrated! I don't really eat oranges until my orange tree's oranges ripen (there are like at least 100 of them!). Here are some fruits that I grow in my backyard (there are so much!): Peaches, Doughnut peaches, persimmon, blackberry, fig, strawberries, pears, apples, (this fruit I don't know what it is called-it's hard and it's sort or brown/green and the brown ones are super sweet), lemons, oranges, (these sour cherries that have been chopped down since remodeling), and I think my dad is like getting more...unbelievable! Not eating fruit or vegetables get you FAT and when you (word that means give out waste), your (word for bottom) with hurt a lot!
Nice Post!
I have many organic fruits and vegetables in my house, such as plums, oranges, dates, grapes, pomegranates, blueberries, tomatoes, cucumber, green peppers, cilantro, squash, zucchini, and green onions. My grandparents are like experts at gardening, so we have no trouble growing these plants. Of course, it takes time and patience to grow this many fruits and vegetables. Nice post Joshua!
Dear Joshua
I do have many plants in my backyard about 3 different types of tomatoes like the cherry tomatoes that you mentioned in the paragraph. I also have cucumbers and jalapenos (but only my dad can eat them since they are very spicy. I don't like tomatoes.

Yes,I do grow cherry tomatoes, too. also I grow a lemon tree , few strawberries and some herbs.
My favorite plant to grow are tomatoes, because they are sweet and juicy.
Yes I do grow fruits and vegetables. We grow a plum tree, a peach tree, a persimim tree, seven tomatoes, an apricot tree, two apple trees, a guava tree, and a lemon tree. My favorite ones are the tomatoes and peaches. We have six tomatoes that produce pear-shaped yellow tomatoes, and one tomato that produces fat, round, and bright red tomatoes. The yellow tomatoes ripen really quickly so we have to check on them everyday. The red tomatoes ripen very slowly, but I think it'll be fun to see how slowly they ripen.
We have two apple trees, a plum tree, a peach tree, an apricot tree, a guava tree, a lemon tree,a persimin tree, and seven tomatoes. One tomato gives out huge red tomatoes, and six tomatoes produce small pear-shaped tomatoes. My favorite other tree is the peach tree is still small even though my family has had it for many years. Despite its size,it produces big and delicious peaches.
I do grow many plants in my backyard. The most plant I like is mint.I really cant believe that your plant is that big! I hope I can grow a tomatoes tree too.
