About Our Cats and How My Family Got Them

Many people have pets. Do you know what pets I have? You'll find out very soon. My family adopted two cats over 2011's summer break. We were in Petco seeing if we could adopt a cat. An employee told us there was an animal shelter in Milpitas. So we went on Sunday to see. In the display room we saw a lot of cats. My sister took a liking in a black and white tabby she-cat with long fur named Rose. I took a liking in a male white cat with ginger patches, named Bullwinkle, but it didn't like me. Whenever it saw me, it would run away. Then I left the display room to see the younger cats still in cages. I saw a cage with ginger cats inside. A lady working there told us to see if we liked Orion. Orion just didn't let her carry him! He went to the back of the cage where nobody could reach him. Then she told us about Phoenix. She said Phoenix was a snuggle-bug and when she was working in the morning, she had him in her arms. After she finished talking, I asked her if she could take him out. She agreed and took him out and I carried him. I really liked this cat and my sister really liked Rose. My mom and dad agreed to adopt these cats so we bought supplies they needed and took them home.
Phoenix and Rose are very nice and care for each other. Phoenix is a sandy colored cat with dusty green eyes. Rose is a black and white tabby with odd eyes which are copper on the outside, rimming her eyeballs are teal, and her eyeballs are green. When we have visitors, Phoenix will greet them like he knew them his whole life. Rose is very shy and will get scared and hide. Phoenix eats a lot of fruits and vegetables. He eats apples, cantaloupe, peaches, nectarines, broccoli, lettuce. Rose refuses to eat fruits and vegetables. Both of them like cheese and chicken. If Phoenix can't find Rose, he'll meow really loudly. If Rose can't find Phoenix, she doesn't really care. Both enjoy staring outside and watching squirrels. Do you have any pets? I like Black-footed Ferrets. They are really rare actually. Only 2% is Black-footed Ferret in the prairie family. They found one dead at Leo, Wyoming. Then at 1981 they found a tiny microscopic population of Black-footed Ferret in northwest Wyoming. If you own one, you have to have a clean area for it to play. It needs it's own territory. It will also bite so it you like getting bit at, BUY ONE.

Hi Cindy,
I loved your blog about how you got your cats! That is sort of how we got our cats. I saw a white calico which was actually my cat Cheddar's sister. She was very scared, which was so unlike him! Can you imagine having 4 brothers and sisters? My cat Cheddar's brother(who we also own as well) is Roquefort. He had a twin sister who besides the size difference is identical to him. They are 4 years old and their birthday is April 27. My cats are doing great! I don't know if you can see but I put a picture of Cheddar(the orange one) and Roquefort(the bluish one). Isn't it funny that they are named after cheeses?:) (try clicking on the link on my name: it should be blue!)

I do not have any pets, but I would like to have a fish. Do your cats ever chase each other around the house, or do they play together? It's a good thing you don't have a cat and a dog, or they would play tag all day. Nice blog, Cindy!:D Have fun with your cats!
Hi Cindy, nice blog you've got there!! I have FOUR pets!! Strangely, they are all fish. BORING!! The fun part about having fish in the house is that my brother and I get to feed the fishes. I am really looking forward to getting dogs. I can't have cats because my dad is allergic to them. I would name my dog Blaze or Flame. I would either get a Golden Retriever or a Siberian Husky. Those are my favorite dogs, and you can see proof if you go onto Ronald's blog. I really wish that I would get as dog soon!

I don't have any pets but I do want a dog,bunny,guinea pig,or a parrot.Did you know that my friend is getting a dog and, if she gets puppies he is going to
give me one?!I'm kind of like Phoenix Cindy!I like apples, cantaloupe, peaches, nectarines, broccoli, lettuce, cheese, and chicken.
Your blog was wonderful! From your blog I learned many interesting facts. I never knew that cats have so many unique personalities.
At my home, we have fishes. Few are them are groppers, a fish's tail like a sword, and a angelfish.
A pet I will like is a hamter or a guinea pig. Unfortunately my mom won't allow me to have one.
Here are few reasons why:
1. to much work

2. the rat family have diseases

I have a pet similar to cats. I have a dog. His name is Bandit. Bandit is half terrier half chihuahua. We got him in October 2007 from one of my mom's friend. When we first got him a short fence, he jumped over it.:)

I don;t have any pets. I used to have a fish called Shiny. It's a goldfish that I got last year. He was very lonely in a goldfish bowl. Then one day he couldn't eat because of some kind of disease. He started to swim on the bottom of the tank and not eat. When we fed him soft peas he didn't eat. Then he died.
Is it fun having kittens? I bet it's
fun!!!
I am allergic to cats, so I try to stay as far as possible from them. I like goldfish, mainly because they don't shed, but they also don't bite. I went to Pet Shop to get three goldfish. It was really fun, just watching them swim around in their little tank. They often slept in a plastic treasure chest or cave that I bought for them. Nice post Cindy!

You must be very lucky because I do not have any pets. But I really want to have a pet, even my brother wants one and my dad!=) But my mom wont let me.=( I only have fish, I have a lot of fish.About 15 fish. YOU ARE VERY LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A fox! You might think why in the world a fox? I chose a fox because one thing I like more than pets are wild animals. I love animals! Do you? Wild animals are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foxes are very intelligent. That's why I like FOXES.
I used to have seven fish, but they all died. Of course, I did not have all seven at once. For three of the fish, there tails started disappearing. I think this was caused by the bacteria in the water that started eating the tails away. At first, I thought taking care of fish would be a very easy pet to take care of, but it turns it it is quite hard. As with my fish, they can get a sickness, and they will die.
I would want a horse. I love riding! I once rode an Arabian stallion at Cevalo Riding Academy before! He is such an angel! Especially since I got to ride him the whole week at summer camp! Nice post Cindy! I would have picked cat, but I guess the thought of horse was too overwhelming.=D
I enjoy dogs because they are almost always energetic and you can play with them for a long time. My cousin sister has a pet labrador named Crystal. She is a very big dog, (when she stands on her hind legs, she is as tall as my dad!) But she is also VERRRRRRRRY fun to play with and she is very enjoyable.

I don't have a pet but I used to have some gold fish they died. I really want a dog they are really playful and you can teach them tricks.The dog breed I want the most is the Golden Retriever the're are other breeds of dogs I want but the one I want the most most is a Golden Retriever. I think cats are cool too but there's not much you can do with them.

I really like cats but my step mom is allergic to cats.I like Phoenix better then Rose.Phoenix is really healthy and Rose because Rose just eats chicken and cheese.Well cheese is healthy, but still chicken isn't always healthy.The answer to you question is dog because there cute and friendly.Bye.=)

Yes! you know I have millions of pets! I have at least 30 in my whole life time. I've heard a lot about Rose and Phoenix. Rose seems nicer, but nooo I think Phoenix is much cooler (your cat㋡) and Rose scratched you a lot ㋛. You said that Rose is meaner and never wants to meet people and Phoenix is nice and always likes people.
