5th Grade
This year at Portal is my last but I'm still very excited to start the first trimester. I hope I will have a lot of fun. Last year I saw that the fifth graders got to do a lot of things that we fourth graders did not get to do like Biz World and if you fourth graders don't know what that is it has something to do with bracelets. But it is also hard too you get harder math also. Last year we didn't get to go to Outdoor school but this year we finally get to go. Also if your in Band and you went last year 5th graders you get to go to great America. Last of all there is the 5th grade Ceremony on the Last day of school.Also if your guessing how I know this I know a fifth grader at my house and her name is Olivia. I will really miss Portal when I leave but I also am excited for middle school.

I am looking forward to this school year. Even though fifth graders have more homework, and responsibilities, the school year is still fun. I am looking forward to Biz World so we can make bracelets! Last year, the fifth graders( now sixth graders) were talking about how fun Outdoor School was. My sister says it's fun too! It'll be interesting to be in the graduation ceremony. This year will be great!!!

I have learned many new things from your blog. I did not now that there was Biz World, and even if I did know what Biz World is I would think it's something to do with the world. I also learned that there is Rockhopper graduation day (I would like to know if fourth graders can come too. I already knew that there is harder maths, but it's not hard if you practice more and do harder worksheets at home and school. I also already knew that if your a fifth grader and your in band then you get to go to different places like the mall "Great America" as you mentioned and many other places. I hope you have a great school year.

I am sad that you are leaving this year but I am also very happy that you had a fun time in rockhopper. I am happy for you that you get to do things that you didn't get to do last year. Fifth grade must be a fun year. Right now I'm looking forward to fourth grade, but after the last day of school I will be looking forward to fifth grade. I am excited to go to outdoor school too. From your post, I think there are a lot of things about 4/5 everyone should be looking forward to. The only bad part about it is that when you are in fourth grade, some of your friends graduate to middle school, and in fifth grade you yourself graduate to middle school and you have to leave almost everyone. Middle school is probably exciting too, because you get to meet a lot of new people and you can still get together with your old friends as well. By the way, I really like your post.

:D I know it's been tought last year that our best 5th grade friends were going off to middle school and this year is our turn. Cute picture by the way! I am very excited for the school year but it's just hard you know...it's going to have much more homework test 5TH GRADERS HAVE PLACEMENT TEST (STUDIED FOR LIKE 2 HOURS A DAY JUST FOR GETTING INTO PRE-ALGEBRA). Oh well. I like Biz-world and I also like the play (I think it's vacation on mars) and It's just going to be a great great year.

Your blog was great! In your paragraphs you tell me a lot of interesting and informative facts about 5th grade. Is the Biz World about friendship bracelets and what is Outdoor school?
To answer your question, I am really looking forward to 5th grade.
I'm really excited about 5th grade, I can't wait to learn 5th grade math with Mrs.Mcpheeters and be a role model tho the other students.

Oh boy, I wish we do Biz World this year. When the fifth grader did it, it looked like fun. Oops, I got off topic. Yeah, I'm excited about fifth grade, and kinda not. It means we need to do extra work, behave better, be a good role model
like last years fifth grader, harder homework, and not go to homework club to many time or else it is going to make the fourth grader think it is okay to think that you don't have to do your homework, because they can do their homework in homework club.

I am so excited to be in fifth grade! I get to RULE THE SCHOOL!!! =D I also like outdoor school which is AWESOME! U get to go on this glider thing and climb all sorts of things! Also at the end of school we get to have this party without the fourth graders! (Sorry 4th graders =P) Did U notice I'm only using these > !

I to can't wait for middle school but at the same time I don't want school to end, at the same time I know I am going to make more friends at the new school. I am really excited for the year because of Biz-world and all the handling for the money and the store. I also can't wait for Washington D.C. because you get to go by yourself and you get a chance to feel the experience of picking on your own by yourself but at the same time you have to follow the instructions that they give and you have to wake up at 7:30 which is not really hard. I'm also excited for outdoor school because you go to Santa Cruz and stay in log cabins while learning about stuff and it being like school.

Fifth grade was great! I sort of miss it and wish portal had 6th grade like they used to.
Yes. I am exited for the year. One reason is because we are going to go to outdoor school. It seems like a good way to get into the outdoors and learn about a few things. Math and BizWorld is also why I am looking forward to school this year.
I can't tell you how excited I am. It dosen't feel like I'm in fifth grade. I just want to get in middle school so badly! So far I can see the difference between fourth and fifth grade all ready.I can't believe it's my last year at Portal:( but I will visit portal as much as I can). I'm to miss the fourth and fifth graders and miss Ms. Regosin( the fifth graders that are not going to be in my middle school). I might also see some of the last year fifth graders. Fourth graders get ready for "Shooting Star"( you will learn it later). Great post Crystal.
I'm very intrested in being in fifth grade. True, the math is hard, but it is very cool at the same time. I heard of outdoor school and it seems very fun and exciting. I am also very interested in doing Biz World 'cause it sounds very awesome. 5TH GRADE IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!

Hey Crystal! I really am looking forward be in 5th grade. But first I need to learn how to be a 4th grader first. and I would like to spend time with you because I won't be in the same middle school as you. Plus I would like to have you teach me a least a little bit. Then when it is almost the end of the year, the I will be exited to be in 5th grade. But I also am a little bit sad about next year because I won't see you next year and the next few years. So make sure that I will say GOOD BYE to you at the end of the year. (Sorry, 4th graders.) Well, this year has started with a big kick, and that can only mean that it will end in a perfect touchdown! Yeah, I really can't wait, especially with Ms. Regosin around! I am excited for 5th grade but one of my best friends is in middle school and she makes it sound so fun! Next year I will be one of the oldest kids that goes to Portal. I am so excited to be a fifth grader! Also BizWorld sounds really fun. I cant wait to do the friendship bracelets.

Is it true that you guys camp go to outdoor this year! When one-fifth grader greeted me on the first day of school I wanted to be a fifth grader. I don’t feel like I want to wear the bracelet I make at Biz World. I think I will give it to my mom. What are you going to do after the graduation? If a fifth grader plays in the band do they get free tickets to Great America? I am a little confused about that. Have fun when you go to middle school!
Heyy Crystal! :) Zarah here! :) Like I said, most of the fifth graders know me! :D I was reading through the comments and I found out that Alex asked a few questions.. so just to be nice(I already am :P) I am going to answer them! :) Okay Alex, so your first question was that if band was easy. Well, since I'm taking band in middle school(I'm starting), band is pretty easy. But I guess it's kind of hard also because you have to make sure you memorize all the notes! It's fun! If you go in there with a confident feeling, then everything will turn out good! :) Your other question was which instrument is the easiest and which is the hardest. Well, in my opinion, all instruments are hard in their own ways! I think clarinet is the easiest. Sure there are lots of buttons but its not that hard! I have to say, trumpet is probably the most hardest. I know you guys might think "Oh what is Zarah saying? It's only three buttons" Well, it isn't all that easy. Just because there are three buttons, doesn't mean that it is so easy! I tried trumpet in the fourth grade and it was TOUGH! All three buttons have to go up a note higher and louder! It is very complicating! I quit on the first few weeks of band! It was that tough!
Well, I hope you 4th graders are enjoying being a Rockhopper and all you 5th graders out there, I also hope you guys are being happy that you are the oldest of the school! :) I miss all of you guys, including Ms.Regosin! :P I hope to see you all soooon <3

I am excited to be in Fifth grade.Finally ,I get be a senior at school.I hope to have lots of fun in fifth grade,participating in Biz World and Outdoor school.
I'm also learning new things this year like in math we are learning about constant and exponential growth.This will help us become smarter and help us when we are in Middle school.Though, I will miss Ms.Regosin a lot.She is a great teacher.
