Black Friday- By Eric Wu

Hi everybody! Did you guys know that the Friday after Thanksgiving is Black Friday? Black Friday is supposed to be the start of the Christmas shopping season. It was originally called Black Friday because when everybody is out shopping, there are so many people so there are sometimes traffic accidents and even violence. Now, it is called Black Friday because the accountants at the stores use black pen to show profit and red pen to show loss of profit. The “black” in Black Friday is supposed to be mean a profitable day for the people at the store. On Black Friday, stores open extra early and give items really low prices, like 50% off and stuff like that.  Sometimes, people even camp outside the stores so they can be the first people to enter the store. I even read on the news that ToysR’Us opened at 10:00 P.M. on Thursday night! Isn’t that crazy? The things people do to get money! Well, enough about that. What do you guys think about Black Friday? Would you go and risk getting trampled if you had chance? Or would you stay home and watch other people trample each other on the news? Please tell us!

Hey, Eric I would nrather go shopping because then you could get deals which have been never before come until next year you would have to wait.I even would like being in home but then you would'nt really get cool things that haven't been so low in the price but if youre a billioniore you would'nt really care (but if you care about money you would go shopping)did you even know that there was stuff that were like $100 of worth of stuff?I'm just telling you this stuff i didn't go to any mall well I did'nt but oh well!!!

I actually like Black Friday because well it is when you go to a mall and buy some random stuff!!!! My sister was like totally into this shopping stuff so my parents took my sister to Valley Fair and she came home with this huge bag of clothes. My parents took me to Valley Fair to look at the Apple Items and to walk around. I thought it was going to be a lot of fun, but I got really bored at the end because I wanted to go home. Anyways I would have watched people get trampled on TV then go to a mall filled with so many people you can't even see ten feet in front of you.

I once went shopping in Denver on Black Friday. There was a lot of people shopping! I think shopping in California is a lot busier than shopping in Denver! I didn't go shopping with my family on Black Friday because we wanted to watch a new movie in the movie theaters. We also didn't go because we didn't want to get stuck in the crowd.
Nice Post Eric!

I do NOT have any interest in fighting to get low prices. I do NOT even like taking risks. My mom has never tried fighting. One reason I am not interested to fight on Black Friday is because it's hard to breathe when you're crowded around a lot of people. Another reason is because when you get something you want(which would probably be rare) you would have to wait in line for a long time. I would not watch the news either because you see people getting hurt. Those shows should be rates PG13 of R if they aren't yet.

Great Post Eric!

I would just sleep late and then maybe go shopping but if I had only one choice I'll stay home with my family and watch some TV with my sister. I also will play boardgames with my family. And just for fun I'll do some of my chinese homework and practice my flute.

I have no intrest in shopping so I have no intrest in Black Friday.I would not want to be trampled!I mean like your working at a shop and you open the door and BOOM a huge crowd tramples you you have to go to the emergancy room.......blah blah blah.I would rather stay at home and watch TV, play Wii or play computer. Sometimes people leave at 12:00 PM and just wait thats CRAZY.Well I have no intrest in shopping so Black Friday is useless to me.

Nice Post Eric! I went with my family to Macy's on Black Friday and it was crowded! I would go shopping on Black Friday because this event happens once in a year. You get cheap prices for expensive items. I also would prefer staying home and waiting for Cyber Monday so I can shop online instead of getting stuck in traffic and trying to find parking.

I don't really like shopping. Even if I did then I would probably just have to stand in lines while my mom shopped. Plus I wouldn't want to get trampled it must hurt a lot. I would probably fall over. The thousands and thousands of people would walk on me. It hurts just to think about it. I have better things to do then just stand in lines. Also if I ever wanted clothes(which I don't really) I could just go ask my mom to get it for me. She alos likes it better not to take me to the mall because I ask for a gumball and then I am not happy if she does not get me one. Kind of like the mouse in "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie."

Nice post Eric!!!

I would stay at home but then I also like Black Friday. The past years my parents, brother, and I got up extra early to buy random stuff. My dad bought a TV last year. He didn't really get trampled in line or anything. This year, I didn't really go shopping that much for Black Friday, but I did go a little bit. We went to Target. Since my brother didn't really like shopping, he didn't go. We bought random stuff and I bought a new video game for my brother and I to play with over the Thanksgiving Break.

Nice Post Eric!

I don't really like Black Friday, but I have to go anyways. I would definitely not go right when the store opens because it would be so crowded that if you are a kid then you could get lost or even trampled. I usually go sometime at 10 in the morning so it isn't as crowded. But every time I do go I get some small things that aren't really on that big of a sale. Although black friday has some really good prices most of the items are already bought and the ones that are still there are usually things that my family doesn't need at the time. Oh, and by the way nice post Eric.

I think I would go shopping. There are very low prices, that are usually lower than normal. But I think there is too much of a rush. My mom bought a lot on Black Friday. Yesterday, she said that she bought a lot at even lower prices on Cyber Monday which follows Black Friday. And my dad got a laptop. My sister got slippers and jeans. My mom bought some jewelry and clothes. I got Photoshop software. I think everyone likes what they got.

Weeeell, if you give me a choice between getting trampled and shopping at Black Friday, then I'll probably go shopping =P. For me, I'll choose to stay near the middle or back of the line, because I heard that last year, the owner of a store and a pregnant lady died because they got trampled by people. So I'd rather stick on the safer side. But I really like Black Friday because the items get A LOT cheaper. You can even get prices 50% off!

I would not like to go shopping on black Friday since my church has this retreat to go someplace else. Even if I could go, my mom will not go either since you got to wait the whole night. What are you going to do with those random stuff anyway? It'll give you a headache while waiting in line and also give you a headache to figure out what to do with it.

I would like to go to the mall and buy some stuff. My mon always says that the stuff I want is really expensive ao whenever the prices go down, I tell my mom to get what I want. Black Friday is one example. The Black Friday that just passed was the one I didn't go to. I usally don't go shopping on Black Friday but this time, my mom went with some of our other friends. I would of come if I knew that some of my friends were going too!!! My mom sisn't get anything for me or for anyone else.
**sigh**
Oh well, I might get something later.

Great post Eric!!

Hey Eric! I think I would rather go shopping and risk getting trampled. The main reason for that is because of everything bad that could happen there are thousands , maybe millions of sweet, sweet deals that could make up for it. Did you know that starting on 05:00 AM I had to go stand in line for my mom while she and her friends went shopping!? Fortunetly I got to bring my Nintendo DSi so I wasn't bored to death. I almost fainted when I got home. For some reason I also saw a bunch of other kids waiting in line as kind of as place holder. Even though I went there really early I Still had to wait in a really, really, really, really, really long line every where. Did you know that there were some people camping out since MIDNIGHTY!!!

Anyways INSANE blog ERIC!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really do anything on Black Friday. I wonder why people go shopping on Black Friday so much. On Black Friday, I usually just stay home.

For some weird reason I didn't even know when Black Friday was!!!! When I went to my friends house on B.F he was asleep because he went to the mall on 4 AM (!!) and ONLY bought two pairs of jeans and one shirt!!!!! I would go because it is a perfect oppurtunity to play the DS while waiting in line.

On Black Friday we always go to Valley Fair mall. This year, we shopped there from seven to eleven AM but we could buy very few things. My dad said that most of the deals are available online too so we need not get up early in the cold and stand in big lines at stores. My sister and I wanted to go for fun. We were tired of big lines so we decided to have breakfast there. I would prefer to stay at home next time and do online shopping. Later in the day, I would just go to the mall to see people running around and would enjoy snacks at the food court.

NICE POST ERIC!!!!!!

Honestly, I think that Black Friday is a big hype for a few reasons. First, they do have sales but they make the original price twice as much as it used to be , so you don't really get a sale. Secondly, I am a boy and I HATE shopping. My sister and mom go to the mall almost every weekend and unfortunately, me and my dad have to tag along. Secondly, many people get injured during Black Friday because people trample over each other just for a sale. Lastly, you end up spending more than you actually want to and end up regretting it in the end. But, I have to admit, there is one good thing about Black Friday, we get an extra holiday for it! YAY!

This year on black friday I slept in with my sister, and dad. My mom went shopping at 4:00AM!I went there at 10:00. My mom made my dad stand in line. She bought a bunch of jackets for the whole family. The line was 90 minutes long! I did not get bored to death because the toy section was nearby.
Nice post Eric.
